Lubengele Township is part of Chililabombwe, a town in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. It's one of the townships that developed around the mining industry, which is the backbone of the region's economy. Location: Lubengele is situated near the stream of the same name, with an elevation of approximately 1,259 metres. Mining Influence The township, like others in the Copperbelt, was shaped by the mining industry's social welfare infrastructure. Historically, mine townships like Lubengele were provided with housing, education, health, and leisure facilities by the mining companies Lubengele has its own stadium, known as Lubengele Stadium, which serves as a venue for various local events and sports activities². The township's close association with Chililabombwe and the mining sector has played a significant role in its development and culture.
